How is information organized in our
long-term memory? Below are several possible models:
- Network Model - our LTM is a big dictionary with the information stored according to their relationships with each other in hierachy.(bird, wings)
- Feature Comparison Model - our LTM is organized by concepts and defining features.(features of birds)
- Propositional Model - LTM is organized by a combination of concepts that has a subject and a predicate. (A bird has wings.)
- Parallel Distributed Model - LTM is stored as two or more concepts are compared simultaneously. All pathways of the new information are searched at the same time.
- Dual-code Model - verbal AND visual information is encoded simultaneously.
