The furture directions of instructional design is associated with technology closely. Face to face instruction will be reduced. Virtual reality and distance learning will be a focus. Mobile devices and handheld software such as Pocket PiCoMap have been tested. PDA and mobile learning are developing and will become pervasive. Technology is always a trend even though we experience the fluctuation of its"slow growth as economy recovers." The issues of the development of instructional technolgy will be focused on how instructional thoeries and methods catch up the speed the technological innovation. |
