What I do:

I teach and conduct research on the use of images in instructional materials, ISD as a design endeavor and on teaching design. I am also a designer of interactive multimedia and other forms of teaching and learning materials.

B.F.A., M.F.A. in Printmaking (Indiana University). Associate Professor of Education (Multimedia Design and Development) and Chairperson of the IST Department. Graphics and Animation Manager for Instructional Products at Apple Computer, Inc., 1988-92. Previously, interface designer and production manager for educational software development under contract to Macmillan Publishing. Designed and taught courses in computing for fine artists at Indiana University, 1983-84. Research interests: Visual design for interactive information and instruction; design process and methods.
