Assumptions about Learning
- Knowledge is constructed by the learner as they attempt to make sense of their experiences.
- Learners are actively seeking meaning and knowledge.
- Learners construct their own knowledge through their experiences.
- The learners constructs do not necessarily represent the world as it really is.
- Learners test their knowledge against others, and more importantly against teachers and more advanced peers.
